Zhejiang University (浙江大学) traces its roots to the Qiushi Academy, founded in 1897, making it one of the oldest universities in China. It is based in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province.

Admission, programs & tuition
Zhejiang University admits international students to bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees and to non-degree Chinese-language programs, managed by the International College of Zhejiang University (ICZU). Applications are submitted through the ICZU online system, and from the 2026/2027 year all undergraduate applicants must provide a CSCA report.

Application requirements
- Non-Chinese citizen with a valid passport and a high-school graduation certificate.
- From the 2026/2027 year, a valid CSCA (China Scholastic Competency Assessment) report — the first test is on 21 December 2025.
- Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 (≥180 for science, engineering, economics, management and art; ≥195 for literature and education).
- English-taught programs: IELTS, TOEFL or another English certificate, or a pass in the ZJU entrance English test.
