See how your child lands and settles in
Your child sends you a link. It opens in any browser — no app, no sign-up — and shows the arrival, the helper and the Meet payment in your language.

How the link works
One private link — and you can follow the arrival from anywhere.
- 1
Your child creates it
In the Qiao app: Profile → My China → Link for parents. Booking Meet with “Ask my parents” shares the same link. Your child sends it to you in any messenger.
- 2
You open it in a browser
No app and no sign-up. The page opens in your browser's language — English, Russian or Chinese, with a switch on the page — and shows times in your time zone.
- 3
It stays private
There is one link per student, and it works for 180 days. Your child can revoke it at any time, and it stops opening at once. Search engines don't index the page and it runs no analytics. Please don't forward it.
What the page shows
What helps you stop worrying — and nothing more.
You see
- Your child's first name, city and university
- The status: “All going to plan”, “Waiting for payment” or “Needs help”
- The arrival steps with times or due dates: landed, met by the helper, dorm, police registration, bank and SIM card, residence permit
- The helper's name, photo, year of study, languages, rating and number of meetings, marked “student ID checked”
- How much was paid and when
You don't see
- The passport or any other document
- Any address, including the dorm
- Contact details and chats
- Where your child is right now
Without Meet, the page still follows the main steps — landing, police registration and the residence permit — from your child's checklist and dates.
“Needs help” means a step was disputed or a serious complaint was made. The page then suggests contacting Qiao support.
Paying for your child
Meet is paid on the website, so a parent can pay for the student.
- 1
While a booking waits for payment, the page behind the link shows what Meet includes, the price and a “Pay” button.
- 2
The payment page shows the amount, what it is for, how to pay and a payment reference. For now payments are confirmed by hand when the money arrives.
- 3
Once the payment is confirmed, the page shows “Paid” with the amount and the date, and your child gets a notification.
Meet includes 3 days with a helper and 6 months of Qiao Pass for your child.
Full refund if the booking is cancelled at least 72 hours before the arrival day, or while no arrival date is set. Your child cancels it in the app.
Until it is paid, your child's app shows “Waiting for payment from parents”. A booking that is not paid within 7 days is cancelled automatically.
Email updates
If your child has booked Meet, we can email you when something happens — no need to keep checking the page.
- 1
Leave your email on the page behind the link.
- 2
Confirm it: we send a confirmation link first, and nothing else until you open it.
- 3
We write when the payment arrives, when the helper meets your child, as steps are done and when the Meet ends — at most one email every 10 minutes.
- 4
Every update email has a link to unsubscribe.
