Become a Qiao helper
Many international students come to China from Russian-speaking countries. You meet them in the arrivals hall and help with their first three days: you speak Russian and help newcomers start their life in China calmly.

What a helper does
Day 1 · Airport → dorm
Meet in the arrivals hall, get a SIM card, move into the dorm.
Day 2 · Police and the office
Address registration and papers at the international office.
Day 3 · Bank and medical check
A bank card, Alipay and WeChat Pay, the medical check (体检).
How it works
- A student books Meet in the Qiao app, and we assign them to you.
- The partner portal shows the arrival date and airport; the student's flight and contact open 48 hours before arrival.
- At the airport the student shows you a 4-digit meeting code. You enter it in the portal, so you both know you met the right person.
- After each step you press "Done" in the portal, and the student and their parents see how things are going.
Pay
Paid per meeting: you are paid for every three days with a new student, and the student can leave a tip through Qiao. We tell you the amount and how payouts work at the interview.
Who we are looking for
- You study at a Chinese university.
- You speak Russian (Russian majors especially welcome) or English.
- You can set aside three days in a row when a student arrives.
Checks and safety
- At the interview we check your student ID and identity document; we record only that the check was done and keep no copies.
- Meetings happen only in the arrivals hall, with a meeting code.
- After the meeting the student rates you; after a serious complaint a helper is suspended until we look into it.
- If something goes wrong, you can write to Qiao support.
Application
After you apply, we message you on WeChat or call to arrange an interview.
Applications are stored encrypted and read only by the Qiao team. If you do not become a helper, we delete your application within 12 months of sending it. You can withdraw consent at any time by email.
